The proceeds from the October 2008 Social Justice Awards Benefit Gala created a new way for UUSJ to meet its goal of increasing the frequency, impact and visibility of UU collaborative efforts in the region. The UUSJ Collaborative Fund supports programs promoting cooperation to enhance the impact of social justice endeavors among congregations, organizations and individuals. Priority will be giving to collaborative projects involving two or more UUSJ member congregations or organizations, to promote best practices in areas such as environmental justice and reducing oppression.
